Thanks for stopping by this Halloween to First Christian Church!
It’s a joy for us to provide hospitality and to be a church that supports our community and its youth!
At First Christian Church we are becoming dedicated disciples, and we believe this can happen at any age. That’s why we have robust opportunities for kids to worship and grow in their spiritual journey. For infants up to 3 years old, we provide a safe space for in our nursery.
Kids are welcome in worship and have their very own Pray Ground space with activities designed for them, as well as a Children’s Moment, in worship.
Right after the Children’s Moment, kids 4-4th grade are invited to participate in Children’s Church during the school year for an inclusive, fun experience to help kids wonder, explore and grasp lessons in faith. Two trained volunteers will lead the kids through these activities and will reunite kids with their parents at the end of worship. We want kids to know that God is a loving and creating parent of the whole world, that each person is made in God’s image, and that Jesus is a friend we can count on.
As kids grow up, we have a middle school youth group that meets monthly on the 4th Sunday from 5-6:30 to explore theological lessons, have dinner, play and pray together. This has been a growing group that welcomes all youth!
As youth near college, we continue to care about their development and offer a Life Skills Academy to help prepare them for adulthood. We also offer generous scholarships for members going through all forms of higher education.
We also have regular Family Ministry Nights for families of all shapes and sizes, to give space for us to expand our networks and deepen relationships. Recent nights, we’ve done trivia, succulent planting, kickball, board games and everything in between.
So, no matter what age or stage your family is in, we hope to have something for everyone. Please check out the rest of our website and our Facebook page to get a better sense of First Christian Church, and, as always you are invited to share in worship every Sunday morning at 9am.
Thanks and Happy Halloween!
