Each week in worship we offer the invitation for people to join as members of First Christian Church. No matter your background, whether or not you’ve been baptized or anything else, we are happy to welcome you into the congregation.
But since not everyone is ready to make that commitment, you need more information or you just don’t want to stand in front of a crowd, we offer what we call our Come and See Sundays. When Jesus met people who wanted to know more about what it would mean to follow him, he didn’t hand them a pamphlet or take down their credit card information, he usually told them, “Come and see.” So, on these Come and See Sundays, folks who are considering a deeper participation at FCC are invited to participate in a roundtable conversation as you get to learn about the church: our past, today’s ministries and our vision for the future. You’ll meet some folks involved at FCC and get to ask any questions of Pastor Steve. At the end, there will be an opportunity, if you wish, to sign up to help with various ministries and to officially join the church. But there’s no pressure—this is a Come and See, after all, and we want to give you space to listen to what God is calling you to do. All this will happen during coffee fellowship hour immediately following Sunday morning’s worship (around 10am).
