At First Christian Church, our vision is that “Growing in the Holy Spirit, we are becoming dedicated disciples, thru passionate spirituality, joyful service and inspiring generosity.”
But that’s a mouthful .
Maybe this will help clarify our vision: imagine a healthy, sturdy apple tree in an orchard. Imagine FCC as the tree. Down below the surface, digging deep to anchor and nourish us is that “growing in the Holy Spirit.” Back above the surface, the trunk and limbs that is at the center of the church is that we “are becoming dedicated disciples.” And if you look to the fruits that are a result of these things you’ll discover “passionate spirituality, joyful service and inspiring generosity.”
So how ‘bout them apples?
And even though our long-range vision determines big aspects of the mission of this church, we have more specific aims in different seasons of our church’s life, which we call our mission. The mission that we adopted in 2024 for the near future is to make a positive impact on children and youth—those whose families participate in the life of our church, as well as those in the larger Canton area.
